On January 14, 2004, the parish meeting of the church "Sf.M.Mc.Gheorghe" was held, with only one question on the agenda of the day: the transformation of the parish into a monastery. The meeting was attended by the president of the district Nicolai Caviuc and other leaders of the city of Ungheni as well as over 400 parishioners of the church. The president of the meeting, priest Gheorghe Matveevici, announced that it was the blessing of His Holiness Vladimir, Metropolitan of Chisinau and All Moldova to establish a Monastery. The officials of the district, the city and the parish meeting supported these beautiful ideas and signed the minutes of the meeting. After examining the possibility of transforming the church "Sf. M. Mc. Gheorghe" into a monastery with the blessing of His Holiness Vladimir, Metropolitan of Chisinau and All Moldova.
The Exarch of the monasteries within the Moldovan Metropolis, Archimandrite Siluan Şalaru, President of the Metropolitan Department of Monasteries and Monastic Life, notes that there are all the premises for a church transfer from Ungheni to the Monastery. Thus, at that time the parish had a two-level building. On the two levels are the two churches. On the first level – “St. M. Mc. Gheorghe”. In 2003, construction began on the second level of the “St. M. Mc. Pantelimon” church. Monastic life began on March 4, 2004, when the parish priest of the church, priest Gheorghe Matveevici, was tonsured into monasticism with the name Pantelimon by Archimandrite Petru Musteaţă, the Spiritual Director of the “St. Parascheva” Monastery, the current Bishop of Ungheni and Nisporeni. On the day and was tonsured the listener Iulia Staroșciuc with the name of nun Gheorghia.
The church "Sf. M. Mc. Gheorghe" currently a monastery, was founded on April 16, 2000 on the feast of the Entry of the Lord into Jerusalem. The former school that was transferred to the church. In the church "Sf. Gheorghe" daily akathists were performed and the chapels of the Mother of God, Te Deums for health were read. On holidays and Sundays, the Holy and Divine Liturgies were performed. After the completion of the church works, it was consecrated on December 17, 2001 on the feast of the Holy Great Martyr Varvara by His Holiness Metropolitan Vladimir. The first bishop's liturgy took place with a council of over 40 priests. In 2002, the bell tower was built and consecrated. After a long illness, the priestess Ana Matveevici passed away on April 24, 2003 and is buried on the territory of the monastery. After that, the daily holy liturgies began to be celebrated.
In 2004, two listeners Sandu Ecaterina – Nun Maria and Alexandra Dornescu – Nun Ana were tonsured into monasticism.
In 2005, two listeners Svetlana Osoianu – nun Solomia and Mămăligă Eugenia – nun Anastasia were tonsured into monasticism.
In 2006, two ascetics were tonsured: Gliga Tatiana – nun Elisabeta and Raisa Rusu – nun Rafaela.
In 2007, the listener Vera Matveevici – nun Varvara was tonsured.
In 2005, on January 4, the church on the second level was consecrated, with the patron saint of "St. M. Mc. Pantelimon" by His Holiness Anatolii, Bishop of Cahul and Comrat, and Hieromonk Pantelimon was elevated to the rank of Hegumen. Also in 2005, construction work began on the residential space with 22 cells and the monastery fence.
On September 5, 2005, with the blessing of His Holiness Metropolitan Vladimir, Hegumen Pantelimon was elevated to the rank of Archimandrite for diligent work. The works of the "St. M. Mc. Gheorghe" monastery were supported by Archimandrite Petru Musteață and the leaders of the district and the city.
On January 9, 2007, the church on the first level was consecrated, dedicated to "St. M. Mc. Gheorghe" after a major repair, by His Holiness Petru, Bishop of Ungheni and Nisporeni.
From 2007 until now, on Sundays and holidays, two divine liturgies are celebrated, at 6 am, in the church "St. M. Mc. Gheorghe", the first level; the second divine liturgy, in the church "St. M. Mc. Pantelimon", the second level, at 7:30 am.
In the spring of 2007, the construction of the trapeze church with two levels began: on the first level - the abbot and on the second level - the trapeze church, dedicated to the Mother of God, the increaser of grain.
In the summer of 2008, the construction of the residential block with 22 cells was completed and it was consecrated by His Holiness Metropolitan Vladimir, the Spiritual Director Archimandrite Pantelimon being decorated with the right to serve with the Doors called Imperial Open until the "Our Father..." and the nun Varvara.
In the same year in October, the monastery was registered with the Patriarchate of the Russian Orthodox Church in Moscow.
In 2010, on May 6, a holy liturgy was celebrated in honor of the 10th anniversary of the activity of the holy place with a council of priests, three hierarchs led by His Holiness Vladimir, His Holiness Sava, Bishop of Tiraspol and Dubasari, His Holiness Un Petru, and Bishop of Niș.
